汇丰(HSBC)任命路透(Reuters)前高管洪纪元(Alex Hungate)为其负责个人金融服务与营销业务的总裁。这是汇丰新创设的一个全球性职位，而该公司的相关举措意在将旗下业务更加紧密地联结起来。

HSBC has appointed Reuters executive Alex Hungate to the new global role of head of personal financial services and marketing as it aims to connect its operations more closely.

Mr Hungate, who was managing director for Asia at Reuters, will lead an operation that serves 120m customers worldwide and will take responsibility for overseeing the marketing and advertising at the world's third-largest bank.

He will report to HSBC chief executive Michael Geoghegan and sit on a 10-strong group management board. Mr Geoghegan has spoken of his plan to “join- up” the bank by cross-referring more customers be-tween divisions such as retail banking and wealth management.
